Lounge
Flooring - TG Renovations were asked to lay wooden flooring through the lounge and to preferably use the original floorboards. After we pulled up the carpet we discovered the boards would be good enough to use. They were lifted and a sub flooring was laid to soundproof & level the floor. The boards were re-laid and once down sanded back. Finally a dark mahogany stain was applied to give it a rich finish.

Fireplace - The property didn't have a fireplace fitted and the customer had decided they wanted a Victorian fire to fit in with the original features of the property. We sourced a re-claimed Victorian cast iron insert that fitted perfectly. The customer looked at the idea of using original tiling but decided to modernise it with a colourful contemporary tile. Finally a surround was made and fitted along with a slick slate hearth.

Cupboard Units - Within the alcoves we fitted on each side low cupboard units and shelving allowing for a generous book, DVD and music collection.

Decoration - Finally to finish off the lounge we used a light Farrow & Ball paint and made a feature wall by using a rich patterned wallpaper.
